Dennis Ferguson
Is it just me or does everyone wonder about the right for pedophiles to exist?
Dennis Ferguson is a creepy dog. I am not soppy or sympathetic about him at all – I am however tired of the boring media circus, costing Queensland taxpayers thousands of dollars a day.
Dennis Ferguson was released from prison last week, for a variety of reasons, including the fact the judge could see no prospect of a fair trial, given that Ferguson has become a statewide media star.
Ever since, he has been followed by the media – who whip locals into a frenzy, pack up, and follow him to the next location.
In desperation, the Queensland government has called on a church group to essentially take possession of Dennis Ferguson. It will cost us a thousand dollars a day – but he will be kept on a property (which we now know is in Carbrook, because the media is camped on the doorstep).
The church group has agreed, in principle, to shoulder responsibility for Ferguson.
I am not arguing the rights of Ferguson. I’m arguing the law.
Dennis Ferguson was released by the courts, on a point of law. Queensland isn’t a police state – it’s a democracy – and that means the government has no right to forcibly incarcerate Ferguson.
Its hands are tied.
In truth, the government actually has no responsibility to house Dennis Ferguson him at all – and if we’re not careful – that’s what will happen.
We either find an acceptable, supervised location for Dennis Ferguson, or we risk having him on the streets.
While tabloid news editors would most likely relish that outcome, I don’t think the rest of us would be as pleased.

i was in a main stream prison,come unstuck with gang and politic,ending me on protection.
this man is an animal and so sick,that they had to censorship newspapers,example best and less booklets,this mungrel was caught with a folder pasted with images of children in swim wear (in his first offence and imprisoment).I beleave the law should change wen some one is charged that they should only mediate his detail after being found guilty,that judge who let him go should let him move in with him,and i think this judge has made a big mistake, all the lawyers presenting these animals will use this situation,soon as the media show them on tele before being found guilty.all i can say is dennis ferguson is lucky i have parents to look after.i beleave he will not only reoffend but kill next time,cause he will get his own room in section39 safty of welfare,were he was placed on return 2005,no one wanted him in any unit.and the prisoners all agreed that since he reoffended again we will give him a hiding every day,sorry i seem up front but this is my opinon,and its really starting to upset me,imagine the poor children if im upset.i beleave we have to keep our children safe but hay,how many children are guna suffer with the input of all this.a ex prisoner is not alloud to talk about another inmate about what goes on inside jail. im risking this post,but i needed to get this off my chest,thank you Caroline for a web to post comments about this animal.i wonder if any homeless poeple could get looked after as much as this mungrel,sorry for the profound words i have kept it as nice as i can..and if this is good to post,ignore wat i said about getting in trouble.go ahead.They closed the old work release at wacol jail this is were he should be placed and tracking device attached.i think people will agree with me.
i thought i would return and talk about all the other so and so that will be released soon,besides old matey..
wat about all the lifers in side that will be exiting jails after a long time put away.i did hard time im no angel i made mistakes,but hay the system has to change big time.i have been goin to on going therapy just to get over jail its self seen sum bad stuff.i have my mum n dad to hold me together.still reporting to corrective service..we need strict input into these prisoners lockem up forget them..wat about wen they get out i got goose bumps,and a few knocks to the head,i hope the prison they build at gatton,has good programmes not bull shit 4 weeks anger manergment and 6 weeks cog shills wat a joke spend 10 years in jail do 6 months so called rehab lol,wat a joke..scare folks im a prisoner, i seen them come and go and come back..ty caroline..
