Is it just me or is everyone keen to change their circumstances, but not willing to change themselves?

The Dalai Lama is in Australia at the moment. He will launch Kindness Week at Australia Zoo next Wednesday.

You might have heard the Dalai's Instructions for life before, but I love them.

They include..

Take into account that great love and great achievements involve great risk.

When you lose, don't lose the lesson.

Never let a small dispute ruin a great friendship.

When you realise you've made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it.

Spend some time alone absolutely everyday.

Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.

Live a good and honourable life. Then, when you get older and think back, you'll be able to enjoy it a second time.

Share your knowledge. It's a way to acheive immortality.

Be gentle with the earth.

Approach love and cooking with reckless abandon.
